Hung Liu has three major museum exhibitions in 2013.

"Questions from the Sky: New Work by Hung Liu" at San Jose Museum of Art, CA, June 6 - September 29, 2013.

Now closed: "Summoning Ghosts: The Art of Hung Liu" at Oakland Museum of California, March 16 - June 30, 2013. Catalogue available and the show will travel. Read the press about the retrospective here.

San Jose Museum of Art will present Doug Hall's video installation Chrysopylae along with a selection of his photographs of the attractions of the American West in "Timelapse: Doug Hall and the Western Landscape" July 18 - October 29, 2013.

Candida Höfer's "Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève Paris II" is included in New York MoMA's exhibition "Henri Labrouste: Structure Brought to Light" on view through June 24, 2013.


Marci Washington

Fred Wilson was awarded a New York City's Mayor's Award for Arts & Culture, an annual award presented to individuals and organizations in celebration of their outstanding contributions to New York City's cultural life.

Fred Wilson was inducted in New York Foundation for the Arts Hall of Fame, April 23, 2013.

Matthias Hoch "Berlin-Alexanderplatz VIII"

Matthias Hoch is one of the three visual arts recipients of the Goethe-Institut's Villa Kamogawa Scholarship in Kyoto, Japan, 2013.


Eirik Johnson

Rupert Garcia has been commissioned to paint a portrait of TV legend Johnny Carson for Henry Bushkin's book A Hard Act to Follow. A personal look at Carson, Bushkin was his personal lawyer, confidant, business partner, tennis partner, and all around go-to-guy.

Rupert Garcia's print Perromictlan will be included in the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco's forthcoming book, tentatively titled "500 Years of Animals in Art: Selections from the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts." The book accompanies a two part exhibition at the Legion of Honor, running November 17th, 2012 - April 22, 2013 and April 23 - October 14th, 2013.
